I shoot with a Canon EOS Rebel T3i, 18-55mm lens.
My love for photography first started in the dark room.
Processing my pictures from a black an white film class I took at the Hui when I was much younger, curious to find out which shot would come out nicely and which not...
I loved being behind the lens, capturing a glimpse of the world as I saw it,
different then any other could.
Afterwords having never took full advantage of this art form I was so intrigued by, it wasn't until college that I revisited the idea with a grand welcome.
It was after fulfilling an Environmental Leadership Program course (through the Environmental Studies program at UO) focussed on creative writing and photography of the McKenzie River,
that I decided it was something I wanted to pursue.
You can read my initial post on the MyMcKenzie project here.
I treated myself to my first legit camera as a christmas present, winter of 2011.
It was the best thing I have ever bought myself to date.
